1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your Account

You sign in with your Google account (OAuth). We do not offer a separate email/password login. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account — anyone who controls your Google account can access your Yoution account. You must provide accurate information and promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of the documents, notes, and other content you submit to the Service (“Your Content”). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you (including sending it to AI model providers to generate outlines, quizzes, and diagrams on your behalf, keeping your history, letting you export it, and — if you choose to use it — creating a read-only share link).

When you submit text or a URL to generate an outline, we temporarily stage the raw content server-side for up to one hour so the background generation job can process it; this staged copy is deleted automatically once generation finishes or the hour elapses, whichever is first. Notes, outlines, and quizzes you generate are otherwise stored in your account so you can review them later. Free-tier accounts’ notes are retained for a limited period (currently up to two months since creation) and are automatically deleted after that window; paid-tier retention, if and when a paid tier exists, will be described separately at that time. You can export your own data at any time from Settings, and deleting your account removes your stored notes, quizzes, and preferences.

You are solely responsible for Your Content and represent that you have all rights necessary to submit it and that it does not infringe any third party’s rights or violate any law. Do not submit content you do not have the right to submit (e.g. content under someone else’s copyright without permission), and do not submit unlawful, abusive, or harmful content.

4. AI-Generated Content — No Guarantee of Accuracy

Outlines, quizzes, diagrams, and any other output generated by the Service are produced automatically using artificial intelligence and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.

• The Service is a study aid only. It is not professional, educational, medical, legal, financial, or academic advice, and it is not a substitute for your own judgment, review, or a qualified professional.
• We do not warrant that any generated content is accurate, complete, reliable, or fit for any particular purpose, including exam preparation or grading.
• You are solely responsible for verifying and independently reviewing any generated content before relying on it for any purpose, including academic assessment.
• We are not liable for any grade, academic outcome, decision, or loss resulting from your reliance on generated content.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights, is defamatory, or that you do not have the right to share.
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, quotas, or credit systems, or interfere with the Service’s operation or security.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service without our prior written consent.
• Use the Service to submit academic work for evaluation in a manner that violates your institution’s academic integrity policies. You are solely responsible for complying with your school’s or institution’s rules.

The free tier has weekly generation quotas and per-minute rate limits, enforced server-side, to keep the Service usable and affordable for everyone. We may suspend or terminate your account, without notice or liability, for any violation of this section or at our sole discretion — including accounts that abuse, probe, or attempt to circumvent these limits, that register accounts in bulk or through automated means, or whose email address or domain we have identified as a source of abuse.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services (including Google Sign-In, Google Docs, Supabase, and AI model providers). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of any third-party service.

7. Credits, Quotas & Paid Features

The Service may offer usage credits, quotas, or paid features. Except as required by applicable law, all purchases and credits are non-refundable. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any feature, credit system, or pricing at any time, with or without notice.

8. Service Availability

The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free operation, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time without liability to you.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service and all content generated through it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or be free of errors, viruses, or other harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Yoution, its operators, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or academic outcomes, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) NT$1,000 (or the equivalent in your local currency).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages or warranties; in such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Yoution and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) Your Content; (b) your use or misuse of the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any rights of a third party.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may stop using the Service or request account deletion at any time (see our Privacy Policy for how to request data deletion). Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, and 14) will survive.

We further reserve the right to suspend, modify, or permanently discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without prior notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any such suspension, modification, or discontinuation, including any resulting loss of access to Your Content. Where reasonably practicable, we will make reasonable efforts to give advance notice and an opportunity to export Your Content before permanent discontinuation, but we are under no obligation to do so.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time by posting the revised Terms on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, to the fullest extent permitted by your local mandatory consumer-protection laws. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Taiwan, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

15. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect, and the unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.

16. Final Interpretation

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we reserve the right of final interpretation of these Terms, including any policies referenced herein. Where any ambiguity or dispute arises as to the meaning or application of a provision, our interpretation shall govern, except where a mandatory law of your jurisdiction requires a different result.
